Darah A. Williams is a member of the IACP and the NK9DTA. Underdog K-9 Academy is a fully licensed and insured company. Darah is originally from Montreal, Quebec, Canada and relocated to Cincinnati, Ohio, in 2007. Having a psychology background, she has utilized her degree in the field of social services. Darah A. Williams, a graduate of the National K-9 School for Dog Trainers in Columbus, Ohio, brings a unique blend of expertise to her work as a professional dog trainer. Originally from Montreal, Quebec, she moved to Cincinnati, Ohio, in 2007, where she founded Underdog K-9 Academy, a fully licensed and insured company. Darah is a dedicated member of both the International Association of Canine Professionals (IACP) and the NK9DTA, combining a deep-rooted passion for animals with formal qualifications in basic and advanced obedience, behavior modification, and specialized training in tracking, scent detection, and assistance dogs.

With a background in psychology and social services, Darah applies her understanding of both canine and human psychology to bridge the communication gap between dogs and their owners. Her approach ensures that each training plan respects a dog’s unique temperament while also equipping owners with the skills to handle real-world situations confidently. This dual insight into animal and human behavior has proven invaluable in achieving lasting results, especially in complex cases involving reactive and aggressive dogs. Darah’s clients benefit from a tailored, compassionate approach that strengthens the bond between them and their pets, giving each dog the structure needed to thrive while fostering a rewarding experience for the owner.

The love and joy she has for animals has allowed her the honor of turning a passion into a career. Having a strong connection with humans and animals makes it very rewarding to work with both in the field of professional dog training. Darah specializes in basic obedience, advanced obedience, off-leash obedience, and behavior and perception modification (especially with reactive and aggressive dogs). 

Her qualifications include Basic and Advanced Obedience, Behavior Modification, Breed Identification, Tracking, Personal Protection, Police K-9, Scent Detection, Utility, Puppy Development, Assistance Dog, and Retrieval. Darah is fully invested in each dog she works with, only providing the best training and treating them as if they were her own. She takes pride in each dog's progress and works with them on their own level of sensitivity and personality. 

Her style of training solidifies obedience, which is realistic and gives you full control of your dog. In the real world, obedience training can mean the difference between life and death for your beloved pet. When your dog sees a ball, a squirrel running across the street or another dog off-leash, you want to be reassured that, in most situations and circumstances, your dog pays attention to you. Darah understands and works with dogs of all personality types and temperaments (Hyperactive, Happy-Go-Lucky, Shy, Fear Biter, Basket Case, and Aggressive).
